Incompetent

I thought it would be satisfying to take this red pen to the ridiculous memo you just emailed to the entire committee.

I began with the second sentence, where I darkly circled every other word, just because they offended my eyes.
I struck out the lines that struck me as stupid.
I started so small with a "no" in the margin, and then "No," and then "NO," and then "NO NO NO NO!!!!!"
Now my margins were full of crabbed red rage strokes, pen strokes so rough they ripped the page, they bled through as I read through, I scratched and I scratched until the only word left was your name.

I didn't feel better. The memo was gone but this big blot remained, and I looked at my fingers and the tips were red-stained.
